A Look Into 2025. A Reflection Into 2024.

As the year comes to a close, I am proud to reflect on a transformative 2024 for RWC Systems and share some of our achievements, as well as our plans for the future. This has been a year of growth, milestones, and progress as we continue to build our reputation as a Western Canada’s most distinctive Wall & Ceilings contractor.

A Year of Growth and Expansion

This year, we achieved a remarkable ~30% growth in revenue, a reflection of the growing demand for our services and our commitment to delivering excellence. To meet this demand, we significantly expanded our team, welcoming skilled professionals who have contributed to the success of our projects.

One of the highlights of the year was completing an important hospital project, the Ksyen Regional Hospital (formerly Mills Memorial Hospital) in Northwestern BC. This was a monumental step forward for RWC Systems, as healthcare construction requires the highest levels of precision and expertise. Adding to the complexity, the project was located in a remote area of BC, requiring meticulous logistical planning and coordination to ensure timely delivery and quality execution. We are proud of the work we delivered on this project, which underscores our ability to excel in complex and demanding environments.

Another major achievement was our successful entry into a new geographical market. This year, we won our first out-of-province project with the Prince Albert Victoria Hospital in Saskatchewan. This is an exciting development as we look to expand into Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, extending our reach and expertise to new communities.

Safety remains one of our top priorities, and I’m pleased to report that we worked a significant portion of the year with zero lost-time days. This is a significant accomplishment and a reflection of our team’s commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Project Milestones

In addition to these achievements, we completed several high-profile projects that showcase the scope and quality of our work. Highlights include:

We also continued work on several large-scale, high-profile projects that will shape the future of our communities:

  • UBC Rec Centre: A state-of-the-art recreation facility for students, faculty, and staff.
  • New St. Paul’s Hospital: Progressing on this state-of-the-art healthcare facility, showcasing our ability to deliver precision and quality for one of Vancouver’s most anticipated projects.
  • Royal Columbian Hospital: Continuing work on this vital redevelopment, contributing to the transformation of one of BC’s largest and most essential hospitals.
  • Broadway Subway Extension: Providing steel stud and drywall work for six new SkyTrain stations to support Vancouver’s transit expansion.
  • Oakridge Redevelopment Project: A high-end retail and residential development requiring exceptional craftsmanship.

These projects not only highlight the breadth of our capabilities but also our ability to contribute meaningfully to the communities where we operate.

Looking Ahead

The future for RWC Systems is full of opportunity. As we expand our operations into Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, we are actively bidding on high-profile projects in these regions. Our goal is to bring the same level of expertise and quality that our clients and partners have come to expect from us.

With this growth, we are also committed to further strengthening our team, ensuring we have the capacity and talent to take on the challenges ahead. We will continue to invest in innovation and new technologies to improve our processes and deliver even greater value.

Gratitude and Commitment

As we look back on the year, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our clients, partners, and communities. Your trust and collaboration are what allow us to push boundaries and achieve new heights. We are honoured to be part of projects that shape our cities and improve the spaces where people live, work, and gather.

We approach 2025 with enthusiasm and determination. The opportunities before us are significant, and we are ready to embrace them with the same commitment to quality, safety, and excellence that has defined RWC Systems for over a decade.

Thank you for your continued support. Here’s to another year of building stronger communities together.

Sincerely,
Larry Robertson
