RWC Systems’ Annual Family BBQ

RWC Systems’ annual family BBQ was a great success this year, and we want to thank everyone who came out to join us at our Surrey head office.

The morning started off beautifully. Then, just as we were setting up, a thundershower rolled through and sent everyone running for cover. It only lasted about thirty minutes. By the time the grill was fired up, the sky had cleared and the rest of the day was ours.

Vera’s Burgers handled the food, and that smell hung around the lot all afternoon in the best possible way. A live band played while kids lined up for face painting and took turns in the bunny petting area, which had the longest line of the day by a wide margin. Out on the lawn there were games going constantly, and the pickleball court stayed busy with a rotating crowd of people who swore they were only there to watch.

Jesse, our president, said a few words and thanked everyone for another great year. Then it was back to burgers.

That is really the heart of it. With our team spread across Vancouver, Surrey, Kelowna, Calgary, and Prince Albert, opportunities to come together do not happen nearly as often as we would like. The BBQ gives us a chance to connect outside of our usual workday, bring our families along, put faces to some of the voices we have been talking to all year, and simply enjoy an afternoon together. While not everyone was able to join us this time, our Calgary and Prince Albert teams were certainly missed, and we hope to have even more of the RWC family together next time.
