Indigenous Education Centre

RWC Systems has been awarded the interiors scope for the new Indigenous Education Centre at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops—a three-storey, 17,300 ft² facility that will feature classrooms, faculty offices, Elder gathering spaces and a large community zone. The scope includes 43,000 linear ft of steel stud framing, 42,000 ft² of drywall/sheathing, 21,000 ft² of insulation and a range of acoustic and decorative finishes including 5,400 ft² of acoustic ceiling tile, 1,700 ft² of decorative acoustic ceiling panels, 1,500 ft² of decorative wall panels and 1,100 ft² of wood-slat ceilings. Designed with cultural input and detailing to honour Secwépemc traditions, the project brings high quality, performance-driven interior systems to a meaningful institutional space. Construction is scheduled to begin February 27, 2026.
