BC Hydro Modular Apartment Build – Mica Creek

RWC Systems has been selected to provide drywall and ceiling work for a new modular apartment complex in Mica Creek, British Columbia, built to accommodate the workforce of BC Hydro’s upcoming infrastructure project. The scope includes interior boarding and taping of corridors and stairwells, installation of 4,293 sq ft of acoustic ceiling tiles in high-traffic areas, exterior steel-stud framing and boarding to support perimeter soffits, gypsum wallboard to achieve vertical fire separation between floors, plywood backing in elevator control rooms, and 35,410 sq ft of drywall in total. The project underscores RWC Systems’ ability to execute large-scale, remote-site construction with logistical and prefabrication challenges.
