About Capstan Skytrain Station
Capstan Station, a key addition to the Canada Line, is designed to improve transit accessibility in one of Richmond’s rapidly growing areas. Featuring environmentally friendly design elements and modern amenities, this station is a significant milestone in TransLink’s vision of sustainable urban transit.
Scope of work included:
- Drywall and Steel Stud Installation: Ensuring a durable and efficient structure to meet the station’s needs.
- Taping and Finishing: Delivering flawless surfaces that meet high-quality standards.
- Nelson Panel Ceilings: Installing uniquely designed, acoustically engineered ceilings that enhance the station’s aesthetic and functionality.
Project Stats
- 571,212 man-hours were spent to bring this project to completion
- 29,328 square feet of gypsum products were installed
- 73,318 linear feet of steel was used for framing
- Over 750 aluminum perforated ceiling panels of various sizes were installed
- 8,428 square feet of finished ceiling area, including vertical perimeter panelling
